JSC "Agrarian Fund" took part in "Grain 2021: storage and processing" forum in Odessa within the European Investment Bank project “Ukraine Agri-Food Value Chain”.
The forum participants, including representatives of agricultural companies and the elevator business, discussed the problems of growing, storing and switching grains with future agreement of cooperation.
Volodymyr Glukhov (JSC "Agrarian Fund" board member) told about the financial tools for ensuring current activities of agricultural producers and elevators, such as programs for the purchase of grain for future harvests.
He mentioned that purchasing grain for the future harvest is an effective tool for attracting working capital for farmers. Small and medium-sized businesses can receive funding under this project which is implemented by JSC "Agrarian Fund" every year. Thus, the agricultural enterprise has the opportunity to receive up to 80% of the cost of the contracted harvest and the rest after its delivery to the elevator at the market price.
It should be reminded that in February 2021 JSC "Agrarian Fund" signed a trilateral cooperation memorandum between the Odessa Regional State Administration and the Kulindor Grain processing factory. The parties agreed to expand cooperation in order to ensure food and price stability in Odessa region.
