Andriy Radchenko in Washington on the need for land reform in Ukraine. Video

Andriy Radchenko, the Chairman of the Board of PJSC "Agrarian Fund", while on a working visit to Washington, told the Ukrainian Service of "Holos Ameryky" why the land reform is needed in Ukraine.

“I am currently in the United States of America regarding presentation of the land market in Ukraine. Why Washington? Because we believe that the USA are our strategic partner. We believe that they will give us an opportunity to increase our Ukrainian potential many times over. We have studied the experience of all Eastern European countries - from Bulgaria to the Baltic countries, which have already implemented the land reform after the collapse of the Soviet Union. This increased the production of cereals by more than 40%. Ukraine occupies a strong place in the export of cereals now. And after land reform, these figures can increase several times. In terms of investment, we estimate that more than 100 billion US dollars can be invested in Ukraine over five years. Ukraine also expects the advent of technologies”, Andriy Radchenko said.

The Chairman of the Board of PJSC “Agrarian Fund” also added that the military actions in Donbass are a painful issue for investments in Ukraine at present, but these issues will be resolved: "In Turkey, the President Volodymyr Zelensky gave a message that the land reform is very important for Ukraine and should be resolved by the end of the year".
